Fortnite: Battle Royale lept into the future at the start of Season 9, and it looks like those time travel shenanigans will continue in Fortnite Season 10. According to the first teaser, it looks likely that season ten will launch on Thursday 1 August.
Epic can turn its full attention to Season 10 and beyond since Fortnite World Cup Finals are over. A pair of teasers from developer Epic Games strongly suggest the game could be jumping both backs in time and even further into the future. At the World Cup in New York, Epic revealed the first teaser image for the upcoming season – which hinted that popular location Dusty Depot. It suggests the location’s return to the map following its destruction by the meteor in Season 4. The picture was captioned with Think Back which suggests that Season 10 will see other old areas of the map returning. The first teaser confirmed August 1 as the release date for Season 10, but we already knew that.
Recently, Epic gave the second image which follows a similar path and brings back feelings of nostalgia as Epic most definitely has something truly special planned. The second got the normal treatment in the form of a Twitter release unlike the first one, which was revealed in a live stream due to the World Cup Finals. The image, which was tweeted by the Fortnite account on Monday morning, features what looks to be a mech or robot of some kind. The image features a giant mecha with the tagline of “look forward.” In the image.
The machine is surrounded by two different symbols, one of which is the Visitor’s symbol from Season 4. The introduction of more robots comes as no surprise, given the last major in-game event featured a giant mech fighting a massive monster. The bigger thing is the mech, which looks like a pilot is visible at the top of the suit, and that suggests that the mech will be a sort of new vehicle. Till the arrival of Season 10, anyone still beavering away at Season 9 had better put their foot on the accelerator. This could be more exciting as Season 9 rewards are exclusive to this season of Fortnite.
