Internet giant Amazon is making some changes into its Fire TV Stick Home Screen. The update is rolling out for all American Fire TV devices and will be available in several days across the country. What this feature does is that it adds a dedicated ‘Live’ tab onto the home screen that allows users to check out live shows, movies, sports, news, and other stuff at real-time.
The feature will showcase live content and programming for selected OTT services, streaming apps, cable substitutes like PlayStation Vue, paid subscriptions to Amazon Prime and other over-the-air antennas and more in a consolidated view. It will actually reduce the time it takes to search for live shows if somebody is interested to view it live while allowing them to check out everything which is ‘live’ in a single destination i.e. Live tab.
There are already a number of tabs that you will see on Fire TVs such as Movies, TV Shows, Apps, etc. The section called ‘Your Videos’ actually shows all the content that you have watched recently and recommended accordingly while the other tabs i.e. Movies and TV Shows are self-explanatory. Finally, we have Apps section that showcases all the channels and services such as DirecTV Now, Pluto TV, Sling TV, among channels such as Fox 11, CBS 2, HBO, etc.
AS said, the update is on the way and would intercept your television in a few days that will add the feature along with the pros of it.
