Based on the latest update from Apple, after rolling out the iOS 12.3 to iPhones and iPads, the tech giant has rolled out yet another incremental update i.e. iOS 12.3.1 that deals with minor bugs and issues Apple users had to go through. On the other hand, Apple has also propagated macOS 10.14.5 supplemental update to all Mac users that would rectify issues recorded with the T2 chipset.
Apple has pushed the update that will be available for all iPhone and iPad users in some time. The iOS 12.3.1 mainly identifies and fixes issues concerning the Messaging app. As Ars Technica points it out, people have encountered issues with the app where they are prevented from tapping on ‘report junk’ on threads. The bug is also prompting all the messages from unknown senders to land into the primary inbox thereby cluttering it with junk.
Apart from that, the iOS 12.3.1 changelog for both iPads and iPhones fixes any bugs causing difficulty in making or receiving VoLTE calls. Finally, the update will also improve the performance of the devices as well as optimize it further.
On the other hand, the changelog for macOS 10.14.5 is rather vague since it describes all the problems that were recorded on the devices as well as fixes it promptly. According to Apple’s support website, the update will fix the issue related to the T2 chip embedded within the new MacBook Pro. A bug has been causing sound problems on MacBook Pros although to certain pro audio devices which are used by music producers who happen to be one of the crucial and core audiences for Apple.
The new macOS 10.14.5 will fix this issue along with bugs such as memory handling, susceptibility to a system denial of service attacks, and more. The update will also bring unexpectedly logging into other’s account on Mac devices to halt. Apple is gearing up for its September launch where it will officially launch iOS 13 that will be teased during WWDC 2019 to be held in June and there’s more to discuss further.
